Design & Details
One mechanism, many bodies: every folder except the liner-lock Dickybird uses the same crossbar design, and the consistency shows. Lockup is early across the range, bar travel is short, and detent tuning feels uniform, which suggests a factory that sweats process rather than luck. Aesthetics split into two camps, a leaf-and-wing dress family and a broad work family, and the naming tells you which is which once you have held one of each.
Real-World Use
Across a week of mixed carry, the pattern held: the 14C28N models handled daily slicing with quick stropping, while the M390 models went a full week of box duty between touchups. The copper-handled Firefly-CU was the surprise favorite, warm and weighty in a small package. The crossbar action matters most with gloves or wet hands, where thumb studs and flipper tabs get slippery and the bar stays positive.
