By eliminating chromium carbides from its microstructure, it achieves exceptional edge stability and resistance to chipping under heavy use. Its primary drawback is a minor compromise in absolute wear resistance compared to extreme, high-vanadium alloys like CPM-S90V, alongside a higher premium cost and a requirement for precise heat treatment to unlock its full potential.
