154CM is a high-carbon stainless steel that offers an exceptional balance of wear resistance, toughness, and corrosion resistance. While it excels in versatile daily use, its primary drawback lies in its moderate difficulty to sharpen compared to lower-grade steels and its slightly lower corrosion resistance when contrasted with modern nitrogen-based alloys or CPM-S30V.
