About Design

The Heron was designed to be a reliable and easy-to-use knife with a strong lock and a versatile leaf-shaped blade. Inspired by Johan's time spent fishing by a river, the Heron was crafted with outdoor activities in mind. He envisioned a knife that he would personally love to carry while fishing—functional, stylish, and practical. The Heron offers a neutral grip and a blade shape that excels in outdoor tasks, from fishing to general utility. It embodies the balance between aesthetics and functionality, making it a dependable companion for any outdoor adventure.

About Designer

Johan Jordaan is a passionate knife enthusiast with a deep love for outdoor activities such as competitive pistol shooting, hunting, and fishing. From a very young age, he was drawn to sketching knives and never stopped pursuing this passion. Over the years, his love for knives evolved into custom knife-making, primarily focusing on small fixed blades due to his basic equipment. To bring his dream knives to life, he taught himself CAD and machining basics, finding immense joy in the process. For him, CAD is like building with Lego as a child—it allows him to dream, design, and create functional works of art.
