Bestech Slasher BG56 Series: Crossbar Lock EDC in Green & Blue Micarta

I'm a sucker for a good crossbar lock. It’s ambidextrous, fidget-friendly, and rock-solid. The Bestech Slasher combines that smooth mechanism with a 3.5-inch D2 steel blade and a comfortable Micarta handle. I’ve been carrying all four variants—the BG56B-1, BG56B-2, BG56C-1, and BG56C-2—and they share an excellent platform. At 116-118 grams and a closed length of 4.41 inches, it’s a lightweight EDC that still feels substantial. The differences lie in handle color (green or blue) and blade finish (stonewash or black stonewash), giving you four distinct options.

The Shared Foundation: A Smooth Crossbar Lock Platform

Every Slasher shares the same thoughtful design. The 3.5-inch D2 steel blade is a proven workhorse—excellent edge retention and toughness. The 3.5mm blade thickness gives it confidence for everyday cuts. The crossbar lock (bar lock) is ambidextrous, smooth, and addictive to fidget with. The ceramic ball bearing pivot ensures snappy deployment. The Micarta handle is ergonomically shaped and grippy, and the reversible wire clip offers deep, discreet carry. The overall length is 7.91 inches. The handle color and blade finish are where you make it your own.

The Green Micarta Slashers (BG56B-1 & B-2): Earthy and Understated

The green Micarta versions offer a natural, outdoorsy aesthetic. The BG56B-1 pairs the green Micarta handle with a classic stonewashed D2 blade—forgiving, low-maintenance, and ready for work. The BG56B-2 offers the same green handle with a black stonewashed blade, adding a rugged, tactical edge that hides wear exceptionally well. Both weigh around 116-118 grams. These are for those who prefer a traditional, earthy look.

The Blue Micarta Slashers (BG56C-1 & C-2): Bold and Modern

The blue Micarta versions add a pop of color to your carry. The BG56C-1 features a striking blue Micarta handle with a stonewashed blade—clean, modern, and easy to spot. The BG56C-2 pairs the same blue handle with a black stonewashed blade, creating a bold contrast that’s both tactical and stylish. These are perfect for those who want their EDC to stand out and reflect their personality.

Which Slasher Slips into Your Pocket?

All four share the same excellent crossbar lock design and reliable D2 steel. The green Micarta versions offer an earthy, understated look. The blue Micarta versions add a bold, modern accent. And within each color, you can choose between a classic stonewash blade or a rugged black stonewash finish. Whichever you choose, you’re getting a smooth, lightweight EDC folder with one of the most satisfying locking mechanisms around.
