Designed by custom maker Brandon Corbin and engineered by Kansept, the Kansept Mini Lanza balances strength and low weight effectively. By combining an aerospace-grade titanium frame, internal skeletonization, premium metallurgy, and a concealed locking mechanism, this folder delivers heavy-duty cutting capability in a lightweight footprint.

Aerospace Metallurgical Foundation: Grade 5 Titanium

The high strength-to-weight ratio of this folder stems directly from its primary handle material. Rather than using aluminum or heavy stainless steel liners, the chassis is constructed entirely from Grade 5 Titanium (Ti-6Al-4V).

The inner walls of the solid titanium handles feature CNC-milled pocketing. These weight-relief pockets remove non-structural titanium from high-density zones while leaving solid structural ribs along stress paths.

Balanced Center of Gravity

Removing internal metal shifts the center of gravity directly toward the main pivot assembly. This precise balance makes the knife feel light and controllable during detail work, avoiding the back-heavy feel common in un-milled metal folders.

Structural Efficiency via Concealed Lock Isolation

Integrating locking components efficiently is critical for maintaining strength in a slim knife footprint. Traditional folders rely on full-length steel liners or exposed frame locks that require heavy relief cuts, which can create weak points along the handle scales.

3D-Machined Titanium Pocket Clip

A custom pocket clip, 3D-machined from solid Grade 5 Titanium, completes the build. Mounted for tip-up, right-hand carry, it secures the folder firmly against pocket seams, providing convenient access without adding unnecessary weight.
