YXR7 Steel

YXR7 steel is a high-performance high-speed tool steel produced by Hitachi.It boasts high hardness(62-66 HRC)and excellent toughness,with superior wear resistance for repetitive cutting tasks.Its chemical composition includes 0.80%carbon,4.70%chromium,1.30%tungsten,5.50%molybdenum,and 1.30%vanadium.After heat treatment,it achieves high hardness and good edge retention.YXR7 steel is commonly used in cold forging dies,drawing dies,rolling dies,punches,and cutting tools,favored for its durability.Though rust-sensitive,proper maintenance can prevent rusting.
