CICADA’S WING-TL
The original bar Lock version of the Cicada’s Wing was built with everyday carry in mind. Its exceptionally thin blade, practical modified drop point profile, and remarkably smooth action came together in a lightweight, dependable in hand and pocket friendly design that captured the attention of EDC enthusiasts.
As the Cicada’s Wing continued to gain popularity, we also received an incredible amount of feedback from our community. From praise for what they loved to thoughtful suggestions for what could be improved, every comment helped us better understand what made the knife special and where we could take it next.
For this new generation, we've transitioned to a modern Top Liner Lock design. The result is a cleaner, more streamlined handle profile that offers a more comfortable and confident grip. At the core, it delivers the solid, dependable lockup you expect for everyday cutting tasks.
We’ve carried over many of the beloved blade and handle color combinations from the original, while introducing exciting new pairings to give the CICADA’S WING-TL a fresh look. 10Cr15CoMoV Blade Introduction
Serving as a high-performing Chinese counterpart to Japanese VG-10, 10Cr15CoMoV stainless steel delivers an exceptional balance of razor-sharp edge retention, high working hardness, and robust corrosion resistance, fortified by its cobalt and vanadium additions. It sharpens readily and achieves a remarkably keen cutting apex for detailed slicing. Conversely, its primary limitation is moderate impact toughness; the blade can be susceptible to micro-chipping under severe lateral stress, prying, or hard-surface impacts, making it ideal for precision cutting rather than heavy-duty abuse.
