154CM Blade Introduction

154CM is a high-carbon stainless steel that offers an exceptional balance of wear resistance, toughness, and corrosion resistance. Originally developed for industrial turbine applications, it provides excellent edge retention and a high degree of hardness, typically reaching 57-61 HRC. While it excels in versatile daily use, its primary drawback lies in its moderate difficulty to sharpen compared to lower-grade steels and its slightly lower corrosion resistance when contrasted with modern nitrogen-based alloys or CPM-S30V. Nevertheless, it remains a premium standard for heavy-duty folders.
