Description

Experience the absolute apex of modern folding knives with the Rockstead HIGO II TI-ZDP (S). Handcrafted in Osaka, Japan, Rockstead knives are globally revered as "factory customs"—production folders executed with a level of precision, material quality, and hand-finishing that rivals or exceeds the world's finest custom knifemakers. The HIGO II is not just an everyday carry tool; it is a lifetime investment and a functional work of art.

The Legendary ZDP-189 Blade & Flawless Mirror Finish

At the heart of the HIGO II-TI is a blade forged from ultra-premium ZDP-189 stainless steel (clad with VG10), heat-treated to an astonishing hardness of approximately 67 HRC. This extreme hardness provides unparalleled wear resistance, allowing the knife to cut through Manila rope over 1,000 times and still slice cleanly through a sheet of paper.

The breathtaking, distortion-free mirror polish is achieved through an incredibly intensive, multi-stage hand-grinding process utilizing wet-dry sandpaper grits from 400 up to 2,000, followed by a meticulous final buffing. If a single scratch occurs during this painstaking process, the blade is rejected and restarted from the beginning.

HIGOⅡ TI-ZDP (S) FAQ

  • Q: How do I sharpen the Rockstead HIGO II ZDP-189 blade? A: Due to its extreme 67 HRC hardness and convex grind, standard stones can ruin the mirror finish. We highly recommend using Rockstead’s official factory sharpening service by registering your knife's unique serial number on their website.
  • Q: What does the "(S)" stand for in the HIGO II TI-ZDP (S)? A: The "(S)" stands for "Shiny." It means the titanium handle is hand-polished to a high-gloss, mirror-like reflection before the dark DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating is applied, giving it a deep, premium luster.
  • Q: Is the ZDP-189 steel blade rust-resistant? A: Yes, it is a premium stainless steel clad with VG10. However, due to its high carbon content, it is not 100% rust-proof. Just wipe it dry after use and occasionally apply a light coat of knife oil to protect the finish.
