D2 Blade Introduction
D2 tool steel is a high-carbon, high-chromium air-hardening alloy renowned for its exceptional hardness and wear resistance. It bridges the gap between carbon and stainless steel, offering formidable edge retention and toughness suitable for heavy-duty tasks. However, its high chromium content is insufficient for a "stainless" classification, making it prone to corrosion if not properly maintained.
